TAAFI Animation Workshop: Getting Your Ideas on Screen: Creative Collaboration Workshop with Rex Grignon.

A three hour workshop aimed at students and pros. Rex Grignon will go over his experience as Head of Character Animation at DreamWorks for more than 17 years as it pertains to creative collaboration between artist and director. Starting with "the launch" we'll talk about preparations, listening, reflecting and the importance of a strong relationship. Post-launch, he'll go over important skills such as: presenting, confidence, pushing the limits and bringing your own ideas to the director. At the end of the day, animation is collaboration, but it's important for artists to feel that they've "brought something to the table". Rex will show you how he pushes his teams to get involved.
