NFB HOTHOUSE 9 APPRENTICESHIP - CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Canada's National Film Board has opened submissions for it's ninth edition of the Hot House program, which is a three month paid animation apprenticeship. The program is designed for emerging animators to hone their craft while studying with some of Canada's top animation talent at the NFB's Montreal headquarters. The program favours fine arts based animation and this years iteration focuses on personal exploration in a one minute film following the theme of abstract expressionism. This apprenticeship is a unique way for Canadian artists to explore animation and allows for total immersion  in the art form as the costs of the program and housing are covered by the NFB. If you've always wanted to delve into animation - now is your chance to do so.  For specific information on how to apply visit the NFB's Hot House website.

Deadline: Monday, July 8, 2013

Program Dates: September 9 – December 2, 2013

Theme: REVEAL THYSELF
