TCAF 2013 - What's Funny in the Funnies? Comics and Humour

This topic was of particular interest to me. I'm always interested in analyzing what other people find funny and why. The Panel was moderated by Adam Hines and Andrew Murray, who produce the Guys with Pencils podcast.

The discussion mostly centred around dark humour, such as what can you joke about and when can you make the joke. For example, when is too soon to make a joke about the Boston Marathon and are there sensitive topics you should never make jokes about - regardless of the time since the event. There was also a general consensus among the panelists that they consciously avoided creating mean spirited comics that would demean people.

I was mostly taking pictures so my observations were not at top form. If it turns out Adam and Andrew recorded the panel it would be interesting to revisit it and see what I missed while focusing on photography.
