TIPS - Rotoscoping with Toon Boom Harmony 9

As you know, if you've been keeping up to date with this blog, I like to rotoscope video footage to relax. A bit of a strange hobby maybe, but there you go.  So last night while working through animation tutorials and learning more about Animate Pro/Harmony 9 I took a break to download a clip from ReferenceReference.com and rotoscope it.  The embedded video is the fruit of my labour.  Don't mind the title - that's purely YouTube search optimization.  Did you know that 34,400 people search 'hot girl dancing' on YouTube each month?  Well, now you do.

Harmony 9 has a fantastic new line drawing tool that lets you change the line texture, size, and style at will.  So far my favourite texture is charcoal and my pen style is 'Curved Below'.  I used that for the "Mao's Last Dance" clip below.  You really have to watch it in 720p to appreciate the detail.
